Byron Barrett Missionary to Hong Kong, China I am originally from San Diego California. My home church is a Horizon North Park Christian Fellowship, a Calvary Chapel affiliate church. I recently completed my BA degree with Horizon University. After the completion of that I had a desire to push on towards the MA degree. After looking into a couple of other schools and even attending one course, God kept whispering in my ear CCU. He even told me that my studies would be fully paid for before I graduate. With the CCU philosophy to ensure students complete their studies debt free, it was one of the few confirmations that I was to enroll. Currently I am working in the Children’s ministry at an international church in Hong Kong. I had originally come to hand carry Bibles to the Mainland, after doing that for 7 years I ventured off to do children’s ministry, I work 6 days a week plus teach English on Saturdays for two hours. The course work from CCU has helped me tremendously; each course gives me insight and instructions on how to be an effective minister. With the CCU online courses I am able to manage both studies and ministry life with God’s help. The overall experience has been a blessing to me and I just feel like I am being refined through the each and every course. I am so excited about what God is doing with CCU as a school and with me as a student. I believe that God will be doing some amazing things with the school, with those who have attended, with those that are attending and with those who will be attending. I hope my story will not only bless you but also encourage those considering university to sign up and move forward with what God has in store for them through CCU studies.
