Jericho was a dead and cursed place. There are dead and dying places in our lives that Jesus simply comes into. Let’s let Him…
Blind Bart had a keen need and had no problem crying out loudly: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Cry out right now for your need or the need of someone you love
Jesus “stood still.” Think about that! A blind guy with no vision stops God in His tracks.
The disciples however, “shush him.” “Then many warned him to be quiet.” Let’s try and not quiet folks and quench their faith when their needs are acute but their methods are out of our comfort zone…don’t let yourself be quenched out either…”come boldly to the throne of grace.
Bart throws off his garment which was his identity BEFORE he was healed. He ran abandoned and vulnerable to Jesus, fully expecting to be healed.
Jesus asks Bart and He is asking you today:
“What do you want me to do for you?”
Bart knew exactly what he wanted and asked!!! Ready…? Ask!
“Then Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you well.”
Bart is healed and immediately he follows Jesus. Today…cry out for you or someone else, be clear what you are asking.
