Faculty retention methodology
(Our Goal is 85% as many faculty start church's or go on mission).
The institution measures faculty retention by comparing the current academic year’s roster to the previous year’s roster. Faculty who remain employed, including those on temporary pause, reduced load, or approved leave, are counted as retained. The retention rate is calculated by dividing the number of continuing faculty by the prior year’s faculty headcount. Departed faculty remain in the denominator, and new faculty hires are excluded from the calculation. This methodology ensures consistency, accuracy, and comparability across reporting cycles.

Welcome, I'm Dr. Debbie Romero, the Chief Academic Officer for Calvary Chapel University. One thing I love about Calvary Chapel University is that we provide a biblically based education that connects what you're learning with your faith and your calling. Our goal is to help you succeed academically, grow spiritually, and become equipped for the ministry that God has called you to.
That's really the heart of our mission: to make disciples through Simply Jesus, Sound Doctrine, and Servant Leadership. And you'll see that commitment in our faculty. They genuinely care about our students. They provide personal feedback with assignments, they engage in discussion boards, and they are there when you have questions or need help.
Whether you're coming to Calvary Chapel University right out of high school or maybe you're returning to school as an adult, we want you to feel supported. We have resources like Populi training videos, library and research tutorials, and a writing lab that will help you along the way.
What you learn at Calvary Chapel University is also meant to go beyond the classroom. We want you to take what you're learning and put it into practice in your life, in your work, and in your ministry. If that sounds like the kind of education that you're looking for, we'd love for you to join our Calvary Chapel University community.
