Institutional assistance

Scholarships

Scholarship assistance is considered after admission and is awarded within the limits of university resources. We want to deeply encourage you to ask for what your need is! Remember, “you have not because you ask not.” James 4:2

  1. Complete admission first

Submit the student application and applicable application fee before requesting scholarship assistance.

  2. Document demonstrated need

The scholarship request asks for information that allows the committee to evaluate need consistently and consider special circumstances case by case.

  3. Review available eligibility

Accepted students who express financial need may be considered. Senior pastors and their immediate family members are identified on the current university page as eligible for an outstanding scholarship after completing the scholarship request.

  4. Receive the committee decision

The current process states that applicants are notified within one month after filing a complete scholarship request.

  5. Renew eligibility each year

Awards apply for one year and require a new annual request. Continuing standards include a 2.0 GPA for bachelor's programs, a 3.0 GPA for master's programs, and completion of at least one course in four of nine modules each year.

Financial planning

Financial Aid

At Calvary Chapel University, we are committed to making Christ-centered higher education accessible and transparent.

We understand that pursuing a degree is both a spiritual and financial decision, and our goal is to help students and families plan wisely, without confusion or pressure. Financial aid at Calvary Chapel University may include a combination of federal aid*, institutional support, scholarships, and other resources designed to assist students at various stages of life and ministry.

Whether you are a first-time undergraduate student, a transfer student, or an adult learner continuing your education, we want to provide clear information that helps you understand the true cost of attendance and the options available to you. We encourage all prospective students to explore financial aid early in the admissions process. Doing so allows you to make informed decisions, ask good questions, and move forward with confidence.

Understanding Your Cost of Attendance

The total cost of attending a university goes beyond tuition alone. Factors such as enrollment status, program of study, and eligibility for aid all play a role in determining what you may actually pay out of pocket.

To help students and families better understand this, Calvary Chapel University provides access to a Net Price Calculator — a simple, confidential tool designed to estimate your personal cost of attendance based on your individual circumstances.

What Is a Net Price Calculator?

A Net Price Calculator is an online tool required by the U.S. Department of Education that helps prospective students estimate the net cost of attending a college or university after financial aid is applied.

Rather than showing a generic tuition number, the calculator provides an estimated net price, which reflects tuition and fees minus any estimated grants, scholarships, or aid you may qualify for. This estimate is not a guarantee of financial aid, but it is a helpful planning tool that allows you to compare options and prepare for next steps in the admissions process.

How to Use the Net Price Calculator

Using the Net Price Calculator is straightforward and takes only a few minutes:

  1. Click the button below to access the calculator
  2. Answer a series of questions about household income, dependency status, and academic plans
  3. Review your estimated net cost and potential financial aid
  4. Use the results as a starting point for conversations with our admissions or financial aid team
  5. All information entered into the calculator is confidential and used only to generate your estimate.

Bring prior learning forward

Transfer Admissions

The registrar evaluates official records for comparability, accreditation, course equivalency, grades, and alignment with the student's program.

  1. Send official transcripts

Request official records from every prior institution and have them sent to the registrar for evaluation.

    Email the transcript office
  2. Complete the evaluation

Transfer credit is accepted at the administration's discretion when course descriptions and grades are comparable to university standards.

  3. Meet grade minimums

Accepted transfer work must be equivalent to a 2.0 or higher for undergraduate programs and a 3.0 or higher for graduate programs.

  4. Complete the residency requirement

At least 25% of undergraduate degree coursework and more than 50% of graduate degree coursework must be completed through Calvary Chapel University.

  5. Request prior-experience review when applicable

Prior-experience credits apply only to undergraduate courses and may be considered after an application, supporting evidence, and school dean approval. The published prior-experience credit fee is $275 per course.

$100 per credit

  • Confirm eligibility

The program serves high school juniors and seniors in partnership with their high school.

  • Provide a complete admissions file

Submit official high school and college transcripts, a writing sample, and student references, including one from a former teacher. A minimum overall GPA of 2.0 is required.

2Financial Aid & Cost Information

Cost of attendance

Calvary Chapel University publishes tuition, fees, and estimated educational expenses to help students plan for their academic journey.

Financial aid programs

Upon Title IV approval, Calvary Chapel University will participate in federal student aid programs. At this time, the university is not currently eligible to receive or disburse Federal Student Aid, and its Title IV application is pending. Current payment options and planning information are available on this page.

Students who qualify and are approved will be required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and add Calvary Chapel University’s school code, 04305000, to the application.

Institutional scholarships

Calvary Chapel University may offer limited institutional scholarships on a case-by-case basis. These awards are not guaranteed, are not automatic, and are determined individually after a student submits an application for admission. Because these scholarships are discretionary and are not part of the university’s standard financial aid programs, they are not listed as part of the Consumer Information disclosures.

Policies & planning tools

The university’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy describes standards required to maintain financial aid eligibility. Refund schedules and the Return of Title IV Funds policy are published in the Academic Catalog and financial aid information. The university maintains a code of conduct prohibiting conflicts of interest related to student lending.

The Net Price Calculator is publicly available and provides a planning estimate of educational costs after estimated grants and scholarships. It is not a guarantee of aid or final price.

3Student Safety & Security

Annual Security Report

Calvary Chapel University operates exclusively online and does not maintain a physical campus, instructional site, or non-campus property used by students. The administrative office is a non-campus location with no student access. Therefore, the university has no Clery-reportable geography as defined by 34 C.F.R. 668.46(a).

Drug & Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program

Calvary Chapel University maintains a Drug & Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program in compliance with federal regulations. The university prohibits the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of drugs and alcohol by students and employees. Annual notifications are distributed, and the full program includes standards of conduct, legal sanctions, health risks, and available counseling resources.

Emergency response & timely warnings

Because the university has no Clery-reportable geography, traditional campus-based evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures do not apply. The university maintains digital procedures to notify students and employees of a significant emergency or dangerous situation through university-wide email, Populi announcements, and website alerts. Notifications will be issued without delay unless doing so would compromise efforts to assist individuals or mitigate the situation.

If the university becomes aware of a Clery-reportable crime that may pose a serious or ongoing threat to the university community, a timely warning will be distributed by university-wide email and Populi announcements. For this fully online institution, warnings are limited to threats that could reasonably affect members in their academic environment.

Missing student notification

Calvary Chapel University does not operate student housing or residential facilities, so federal Missing Student Notification procedures for institutions with on-campus housing do not apply. If the university learns that a student may be missing or in danger, it will make reasonable efforts to contact the student using information on file and may notify appropriate authorities as warranted.

4Student Outcomes

Retention, completion & transfer-out rates

Calvary Chapel University will report retention, graduation, completion, and transfer-out rates to the U.S. Department of Education through the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) after completing its first required reporting cycle. At this time, the university does not yet have IPEDS-reported retention, graduation, completion, or transfer-out data available for publication.

Licensure pass rates

Calvary Chapel University does not offer academic programs that lead to professional licensure or certification. Because the university does not operate licensure-preparation programs, it is not required to report licensure examination pass rates.

5Student Rights & Responsibilities

FERPA

Calvary Chapel University complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, which protects the privacy of student education records and describes student rights regarding access and disclosure. Students may contact the Office of the Registrar with questions or requests to access educational records.

Student complaint & grievance procedures

Students must first use Calvary Chapel University’s internal grievance procedures to seek resolution.

Accreditor complaint process

TRACS complaint procedures and forms include a complaint information sheet and complaint form. TRACS may be contacted at 15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; telephone: (434) 525-9539. Calvary Chapel University ensures that staff and faculty will cooperate fully with TRACS in any complaint proceeding.

After exhausting the university grievance procedure, a student may contact the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education at 1740 W. Adams Street, #3008, Phoenix, AZ 85007; telephone: 602-542-5709.

Arizona SARA Council

Calvary Chapel University is approved by the Arizona SARA Council, Arizona’s State Portal Entity for the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. The university has reciprocity with other SARA states for distance education. This process is available to students who reside outside Arizona in SARA-participating states. The Arizona SARA Council does not review complaints about grades or student code-of-conduct violations.

A complaint must be filed within two years of the incident, must follow completion of the institutional complaint process, and must formally assert in writing that SARA terms or incorporated laws, standards, or regulations are being violated.

Federal Student Aid Ombudsman

The final resource for federal loan borrowers is the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman Group. An online assistance request may be submitted through the Federal Student Aid feedback center. Mailing address: U.S. Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid, P.O. Box 1854, Monticello, KY 42633. Telephone: 800-433-3243.

6Additional Required Disclosures

Voter registration

Calvary Chapel University encourages eligible students to participate in local, state, and federal elections. Students may access voter registration information and forms for their state through USA.gov. Arizona residents may register or update their registration through the Arizona Secretary of State.

Constitution Day

The university observes Constitution Day each year on September 17 with an educational program highlighting the history, principles, and enduring significance of the United States Constitution. If September 17 falls on a weekend or holiday, the observance takes place during the preceding or following week. Annual activity details are posted on the university website and distributed to students each September.

Copyright infringement & peer‑to‑peer sharing

Calvary Chapel University complies with federal copyright laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Students, faculty, and staff must respect copyright holders’ rights and refrain from unauthorized copying, distribution, or use of copyrighted materials.
