About the university

Meet the directors, advisors, president, administrators, faculty, and staff who steward the university’s mission and help students pursue Christ-centered learning wherever they are called to serve.
Faithful leadership for Christ-centered education.
University leadership
President
Dr. Chapin Marsh
Chapin Marsh, one of the founders of Calvary Chapel University, holds his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science from University of Southern California, Master’s degree in Education from Pepperdine and his Doctorate in Education from Pensacola Christian College. Chapin brings a varied background of business, pastoral and educational experience. He owned Domino’s pizza stores in Southern California, consulted small businesses in the media and alternative energy industries, served as the Executive Pastor at a large start-up in San Diego, has consulted many Christian schools nationwide, and served as the Administrator of pre-k through 12. He also served as the President of Horizon College San Diego.
From his time consulting Christian schools, he felt the Lord showing him a need for Calvary Chapel University. Many servants at Christian schools were faithful in answering God’s call to teach or administrate, but felt ill-equipped for practical application and/or Bible knowledge. Calvary Chapel University provides a flexible learning environment for those faithful folks to grow in their knowledge/skill while serving daily in the ministry. Pastor Chapin is married with 3 lovely children and loves to travel, read, and share Jesus wherever he goes.

Ed Taylor
Read biography
Pastor Ed Taylor grew up in Southern California. Having responded to the gospel in 1991 at Calvary Chapel Downey, he spent eight years learning, growing, and serving there. In July of 1999, sensing the call of God, Ed and his family moved to the Denver area, hoping to be used by God. In December 1999, Calvary Church began Sunday services in Aurora, and today it impacts the community for Jesus in wonderful ways.
Pastor Ed’s heart is to be transparent from the pulpit, for he truly desires that everyone from all walks of life will embrace Jesus and grow in His grace. Ed and his wife, Marie, have been married since 1989 and have three children. In 2013, their eldest son, Eddie, went home to be with the Lord. A loss that deeply shapes Ed’s heart for ministry to people who are hurting. They are proud grandparents to Eddie’s son, Levi, and a brand-new addition to their family arrived in May of 2026: Joshua’s son, Eddie.
Ed is the author of several books such as “Letting Go of Your Past,” “God’s Help for the Troubled Heart,” “Ordinary Servant,” “Sure & Steady,” and others. He is also the host of the Lead2Serve Podcast, Calvary LIVE, and the Bible Teacher of Abounding Grace, a national radio broadcast.

His work integrates financial leadership, operational excellence, governance, enterprise risk management, executive intelligence, and implementation into practical systems that strengthen organizational resilience. Geoff is also a Certified Interim Executive®, co-author of Well Spent: Creative Cost Controls (Net Assets, NBOA), and developed the original concept for Nova Southeastern University’s Master of Science in Education Law, a program featured by The Florida Bar News.
